WELCOME
The Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD) is hiring! With the 2024 voter approval of Proposition A bond funding, HCFCD is expanding its workforce to support critical flood mitigation projects that will protect communities and enhance infrastructure across Harris County. To meet these growing demands, we are actively seeking qualified individuals and launching a new initiative to collaborate with community organizations in filling approximately 170 new positions and 80 existing vacancies.
This initiative is more than just recruitment—it is a strategic investment in Harris County’s resilience, workforce development, and economic growth. By partnering with community organizations, workforce training programs, and local stakeholders, we aim to connect skilled workers to stable, well-paying careers while ensuring HCFCD has the talent necessary to execute vital flood control projects.
We invite Community Partner Organizations (CPOs), workforce programs, and community leaders to collaborate with us in identifying and referring job seekers who are eager to contribute to public safety, infrastructure, and long-term flood mitigation efforts.
Together, we can strengthen Harris County’s workforce, provide life-changing career opportunities, and build a safer, more resilient community for generations to come.
